Wednesday Afternoon and Evening

Hampton Inn & SuitesAll 2003 Southeast Region Teachers' Tour participants were lodged at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Fernandina Beach, Florida. We started off the tour with an orientation on Wednesday evening followed by a dinner at the Dee Dot Timberlands south of Jacksonville.

Registration & Orientation

Teachers registered for the tour as they arrived in Fernandina beach throughout Wednesday afternoon. For teachers arriving from out of state, shuttle service was provided from the airport to the hotel by Florida Division of Forestry.

Teachers enjoyed a BBQ dinner. The sky was showering but teachers were able to take cover in the spacious confines of the lodge filled with hunting memorabilia and on the lodge's porch where they had a view of the lake and the many species of wildlife inhabiting it.
