Lodging and Transportation

Tour participants will be lodged at the Salbasgeon Suites in Corvallis, Oregon.

Designated Airport: Portland International Airport (PDX):

Teachers can arrive at the Portland International Airport (PDX), in Portland, Oregon.

Arrival flights need to be at PDX by 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 13th
Return flights need to depart no earlier than 3:30pm on Friday, July 16th
On Tuesday, a charter bus will be provided to the hotel in Corvallis from the Portland International Airport, departing at 1:45pm. Also, the bus will be available to transport participants back to the Portland International Airport on Friday, departing from the hotel at 11:00am. Teachers are asked to submit a transportation information sheet and shuttle arrangements will then be finalized.

For those driving to Corvallis, Oregon or coming from another airport:

Please proceed directly to the Salbasgeon Suites, arriving no later than 4:30pm on Tuesday, July 13th.

All Tour participants need to arrive at the hotel no later than 4:30pm on Tuesday to check in, register with the Foundation, and be ready for orientation in the hotel’s meeting room at 5:00pm. Following orientation, we will board the bus to a nearby restaurant and continue our evening with a social hour, keynote speaker and dinner.

Throughout the Tour, bus transportation is provided by Raz Transportation.

Please remember that any hotel or transportation expenses incurred prior to Tuesday or after Friday afternoon are the responsibility of you and your sponsor. If you choose to fly to an airport other than the designated airport, you will need to make your own transportation arrangements to arrive at the Salbasgeon Suites in Corvallis, Oregon by 4:30pm on Tuesday, July 13th.

Registration and Orientation

Upon arriving to the Salbasgeon Suites on Tuesday, participants can first check in to their hotel rooms, and then stop by the registration table in the lobby to receive tour registration packets and to meet the Foundation's staff.

The Tour officially begins with an orientation and introductions in the Salbasgeon Suites meeting room starting at 5:00pm for all participants. You will receive an overview of the tour from the Foundation's President/CEO and get an opportunity to meet facilitators and fellow participants.

Following orientation, Tour participants will be boarding the bus to head to dinner. We will begin the dinner event with a keynote speaker, beverages and appetizers.

Friday Morning Wrap-Up and Evaluations

Friday, July 16th, breakfast will be held in the hotel from 6:30-7:30am. Immediately following breakfast, tour participants will meet for a tour wrap-up, followed by evaluations. The wrap-up will be adjourned by 10:00am, at which time teachers will need to check out of hotel. Hotel check out time is 11:00am. Any additional expenses incurred at the hotel will be charged to the individual. For those flying out of PDX, shuttle service will be provided to the airport.
