Description: The Northern Woodlands Teacher Guides serve as a companion to the Northern Woodlands magazine. The teacher guides contain student activities that expand on ideas presented in their respective magazine issue's articles. For each teacher guide activity recommended publications, contacts, and websites are presented. Additional educational materials such as forestry related crossword puzzles and word searches are provided as well.

Furthermore, each activity presented in the teacher guides contains information pertaining to state curriculum standards they fulfill as well as recommended Project WILD and Project Learning Tree activities that build upon each activity's theme.
