The Dworshak Dam is on the North Fork of the Clearwater River, just upstream

from where the North Fork runs into the main Clearwater.

The dam creates a 53 mile long reservoir.

Drawing down the dam to put more water in the river for salmon creates tension

with those who use the reservoir for recreation.

The Corps is very much involved in Elk and Salmon initiatives.

The Corps manages a 33,000 acre forest around the lake.
